WindPRO is a professional software suite for planning, designing, and documenting wind energy projects. It’s widely used by developers, consultants, and researchers to evaluate wind resources, optimize turbine layouts, and assess environmental impacts.
WindPRO 4.2, released in June 2026, introduced a brand‑new GIS platform, an Ensemble Wake model, LiDAR correction/verification tools, enhanced hybrid energy modeling, and improved electrical loss calculations. These updates make wind, solar, and hybrid project design faster, more accurate, and more flexible.
